A practical first-day checklist for setting up your salon account before you start taking bookings and recording sales.

1. Complete your business setup

Start with the information customers and staff depend on: your business name, branch details, contact information and operating location. If you run more than one branch, create each branch separately so bookings, stock and reporting can be attributed correctly.

2. Add services and prices

Create the services you actually sell, using clear names and current prices. Keeping the service list accurate makes bookings, POS sales and reporting more useful.

  • Use customer-friendly service names.
  • Review prices before opening online booking.
  • Remove or deactivate services you no longer offer.

3. Add staff and working schedules

Create staff records, assign appropriate roles and set working hours or time off. Availability affects appointment planning, so this step should be completed before your calendar becomes busy.

4. Test the daily workflow

  1. Create a test booking.
  2. Open the booking and check the assigned service, branch and staff member.
  3. Record a test sale in POS.
  4. Review the dashboard and reports to confirm the information appears as expected.
