How JEG Salon collects, uses, stores and protects information when salons, staff and customers use the platform.
Last updated: 16 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JEG Salon handles personal and business information across the public website, salon platform, online booking, marketplace, customer access features, subscriptions and support channels.
We may collect account and business details, staff and customer information entered into the service, booking and transaction records, facility pass and access records, support communications, device and usage information, and information needed to operate subscriptions and payments.
Payment card or mobile-money credentials are handled by the relevant payment provider where applicable. JEG Salon may retain transaction references, invoices, subscription status, payment method labels, refund or dispute records and other billing information needed for accounting, support, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
We use information to provide and secure JEG Salon, process bookings and salon workflows, operate customer and facility access features, administer subscriptions and payments, provide support, improve product performance, prevent abuse, communicate service information and meet applicable legal obligations.
JEG Salon may use first-party pseudonymous usage events to understand which public pages and product flows lead to registrations, bookings and subscriptions. These analytics records are designed not to store customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, booking notes or payment credentials. Optional third-party analytics may be enabled where appropriate.
Salon businesses control the customer and operational data they enter into JEG Salon. Businesses are responsible for having an appropriate lawful basis and notices for personal information they collect through salon operations, including booking, marketing and customer communications.
Where customer self-service or facility access features are used, JEG Salon may process customer identity, pass entitlement, facility, QR credential metadata, check-in and check-out records, session duration and access history. QR credentials are intended to be short-lived and are used to validate authorised access.
We may use trusted infrastructure, communications, analytics and payment service providers where necessary to operate the platform. We do not sell personal information. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect users, JEG Salon or the public.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, security, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and legal obligations. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
You may update account information through the platform and contact JEG Salon for privacy questions, access or correction requests, or other rights available under applicable law. Some billing, security or transaction records may need to be retained after account closure.
Information submitted in connection with a refund, cancellation, payment dispute or chargeback may be used to investigate the request, verify transactions, communicate with payment providers and maintain appropriate accounting and audit records. Refund eligibility is governed by the JEG Salon Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable law.
Privacy questions can be sent to info@jegsalon.co.tz or raised through JEG Salon support.
