Keep stock quantities trustworthy by recording receipts and reviewing the movement history.
Record stock when it arrives
When products are received, use the inventory receiving workflow rather than only noting the delivery outside JEG. This creates a movement record and updates quantity in context.
Use movement history for investigation
If physical stock and system stock differ, review recent sales, receipts, transfers, adjustments and returns before making another adjustment. The movement trail is there to explain how the quantity changed.
Count regularly
Periodic physical counts help identify process problems early. Frequent small corrections are usually a sign that receiving, selling or transferring stock is not being recorded consistently.
