Use sales, expense, commission, product and business-intelligence views to answer specific management questions.
Start with a question
Do not open a report only because it exists. Begin with a management question such as: Which period produced the strongest sales? Are expenses rising faster than sales? Which branch needs attention? Which products are moving slowly?
Use the right period
Compare like with like. A seven-day period is not directly comparable with a full month unless you normalise the comparison. Check date filters before drawing conclusions.
Validate unusual numbers
Reports reflect operational records. If a number looks wrong, inspect the underlying bookings, sales, expenses or stock movements before assuming the report itself is incorrect.
